Tarlac town mayor contracts COVID-19

TARLAC CITY –– Concepcion town Mayor Andres Lacson on Sunday announced that he had tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after getting exposed to his close-in security aide.

Lacson said he immediately complied with all of the quarantine protocols after learning that his aide contracted the virus on March 30.

He said his antigen test yielded a negative result, but his reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) confirmed that he had the virus.

“We will continuously monitor our operations while I seek medical treatment for my moderate symptoms,” Lacson said in a Facebook post.
