3-month-old baby beats COVID-19 in Occidental Mindoro

CITY OF CALAPAN –– A 3-month-old baby girl had recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Occidental Mindoro province, health officials said Sunday, April 4.

The Provincial Health Office reported that six patients, including the infant, recovered from the virus in Occidental Mindoro’s capital Mamburao. The new recoveries have ages ranging from three months to 65 years old.

But seven new cases of COVID-19 were also recorded in the province.

All without symptoms, the new patients are two women and five men, with ages ranging from 17 to 69 years old. Three of them are from Mamburao, two from Lubang island town, one from Paluan, and one from Rizal town.

Since the pandemic broke out last year, the province has logged 469 COVID-19 cases. Of this, 396 are local cases, 53 of which are active, while 73 are imported (17 actives, 55 recovered, one death).

The province also has 330 recoveries and 13 deaths.
