5 seniors, 4 kids contract COVID-19 in San Pablo City

LUCENA CITY –– Five senior citizens and four children have contracted coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in San Pablo City, local authorities said in a bulletin issued 6 p.m. on April 4.

The San Pablo City Anti-COVID-19 Task Force said out of 32 new virus carriers, at least five are elderlies – three males and two females aged 60, 63, 64, 75, and 81.

A report said three boys aged 3, 6, and 8 and a 2-year-old girl have also been infected with COVID-19.

Most of the new virus carriers have mild symptoms, the report said.

San Pablo is now under the stricter enhanced community quarantine until April 11 to curb the continued rise in COVID-19 cases.

The city has logged a total of 1,750 COVID-19 cases, 1,392 recoveries, and 57 fatalities since the pandemic started in March last year.

The city still has 301 active COVID-19 cases, which were only 266 on April 1.
