LIST: Metro Manila LGUs offering free COVID-19 swab test

MANILA, Philippines — Several local government units in Metro Manila are offering free COVID-19 reverse transcriptin – polymerase chain reaction (RT – PCR) swab tests in a bid to address the increasing number of infections in the region.

Caloocan City

Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan also announced on Monday that there will be a community swab testing in Barangay 186 and Barangay 176  on Tuesday from 9 am to 12 noon.

Malapitan said the free swab test will be offered to residents and individuals who are working in the city.

“Para sa mga nais sumailalim sa libreng swab testing, magdala ng sariling ballpen, ID na nagpapatunay na ikaw ay residente o nagtratrabaho sa Caloocan, at PhilHealth ID kung mayroon,” the mayor said in a social media post.

For those who want to undergo the free swab testing, bring your ballpen, ID which will prove that you are a resident or employee working in Caloocan City, and PhilHealth ID if you have one.)

(The free community swab testing is aimed at make it more accessible to the people and to quickly identify and isolate individuals who are COVID-19 positive.)

Quezon City

Last week, the Quezon City Epidemiology & Disease Surveillance (CESU) likewise invited residents who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 to visit the city’s community-based testing sites (CBTs).

(Are you experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, colds, loss of smell or taste, sore throat, headache, joint pains, fatigue, or rashes? Are you a close contact of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19?)

(Have your swab test in our community-based testing sites (CBTs)! Each district has its own CBT, that is why there is a free swab test available wherever you are in the city.
