Based on investigation, the PNP said the items were supposed to be delivered to members of NPA’s Guerrilla Front 16, Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committee, which was allegedly led by Rolando Leyson Jr., or “Ka Edroy.”

Caraga PNP Director Police Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr. said the seized items are “supplies for the 52nd NPA anniversary on March 29.”

“But [these] were delayed due to tightened security measures and law enforcement operations regionwide,” Caramat said.

The PNP said the riders, along with the pieces of evidence, were brought to Santiago Municipal Police Station as charges are being prepared for filing in court.
