MANILA, Philippines — Luzon and Visayas may expect fair weather even as the low-pressure area (LPA) south of the country may bring sporadic rain showers in Palawan and the Zamboanga Peninsula on Friday, the state weather bureau said.
Based on its 4 a.m. morning bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said easterlies will still affect climate in Luzon and Visayas, bringing hot and humid conditions in the two regions.
A maximum of 36 degrees Celsius temperature may be expected in Tuguegarao City while Metro Manila may have it at a high 35 degrees Celsius today, April 2. The cities of Laoag and Legazpi, meanwhile, may experience a maximum temperature of 32 degrees this Friday.
The LPA near Mindanao, on the other hand, was spotted 60 kilometers northeast of Zamboanga City as of 3 a.m. It remains to have a low chance of developing into a storm, according to Pagasa.
Nevertheless, the LPA will bring overcast skies with rain and thunderstorms in the Zamboanga Peninsula and Palawan, Pagasa added.
