Another Pampanga mayor tests positive for COVID-19
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– Mayor Crisostomo Garbo of Mabalacat City in Pampanga province on Monday confirmed that he had tested positive for the virus causing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and is in a hospital for treatment.
“It saddens my heart to inform my fellow Mabalaqueños that despite following health protocol, I have tested positive for COVID-19,” Garbo said in his post on the official news page of the city government.
He said he had informed most of the people he interacted with in the past week and a full-scale contact tracing is ongoing.
“Although I am feeling better and in good physical condition inside a medical facility, let me reiterate to my kabalens (province mates) that we should take this pandemic seriously and do our part to stop the spread of this virus,” he said.
Mayors Rene Maglanque of Candaba, Darwin Manalansan of Floridablanca, and Leonardo Flores of Macabebe have survived the infection.
