Palace execs greet Duterte on 76th birthday

Malacañang officials on Sunday extended their greetings and wishes for health and wisdom to President Duterte as he celebrated his 76th birthday.

Press Secretary Martin Andanar thanked the President for his “exemplary leadership, strong political will, and sincere compassion for every Filipino, which has brought meaningful and significant changes to the country and to the lives of many Filipinos.”

Salvador Panelo, the chief presidential legal adviser, said he hoped the President’s wish for the end of the COVID-19 pandemic would come true soon.

“Wishing you boundless happiness, more blessings and plentiful bounties from the Almighty, specially good health, and … whatever your heart desires on your natal day,” Panelo said in his message.

“We pray to the Almighty to continue giving President Duterte more healthy years ahead so he may continue fulfilling his vision of bringing about genuine and meaningful change in our society,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said. INQ
