1-week liquor ban follows ECQ in Laguna
LUCENA CITY – Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez has imposed a one-week liquor ban in the province in a bid to curb the spread of the highly-contagious coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“Ang pagbebenta, pamamahagi, at pagkonsumo ng anumang uri ng alak ay mahigpit na ipinagbabawal,” Hernandez said on his Facebook Sunday (March 28) afternoon.
(Selling, distribution, and consumption of any kind of alcoholic drink is strictly prohibited)
He asked for the cooperation of local chief executives in the province for the strict implementation of the liquor ban that takes effect from March 29 to April 4.
The governor also appealed to the public to comply with the ban.
“Kasabay ito ng mariin nating paalala at pagpapatupad ng striktong home quarantine sa ating mga mamamayan. Iwasan po natin ang paglabas ng tahanan at pagpunta sa mataong lugar kung hindi naman kinakailangan,” he said.
