MANILA, Philippines — It’s going to be a hot and humid Saturday in most parts of the Philippines, according to the state weather bureau.
In its 5 a.m. live weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, will prevail nationwide.
“Kaya makakaasa pa rin tayo ng mainit na panahon lalo na po sa bandang tanghali at sa hapon (We can still expect hot weather, especially in the afternoon),” weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are likewise expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
No weather disturbance is expected to enter the country in the next two to three days, Aurelio added.
On Friday, state meteorologists announced the start of hot dry season as the northeast monsoon or amihan season—which brought cold weather across the country—has ended.
