DA suspends imports of poultry from 3 countries
The Department of Agriculture (DA) has temporarily banned the importation of poultry and other poultry products from France, Sweden, and Denmark where outbreaks of avian influenza have been reported.
The approval of import applications from these countries would also be suspended.
Agriculture Secretary William Dar said poultry and pork shipments from these countries with necessary permits might still be allowed to come in provided that the permits were issued on or before the publication of the memorandum orders. —KARL R. OCAMPO
