Roque tests negative for COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Thursday he already tested negative for COVID-19 and has received his certificate of quarantine.
“Meron na po akong certificate of quarantine issued po ng mga napakagaling ng doctors at staff members dyan po sa Summit Hotel, nagpapasalamat po ako sa kanila,” Roque said in an online briefing.
(I now have a certificate of quarantine issued by the doctors and staff in Summit Hotel whom I want to thank.)
“Bago ka po mabigyan ng certificate of quarantine, dapat meron ka na ring negative PCR [polymerase chain reaction] results so nag-negative na rin po ako sa PCR result,” he added.
(Before you are given a certificate of quarantine, you should also have negative PCR results and I have tested negative in my PCR results.)

“So ngayon po kung talagang hindi kinakailangan pumunta sa hospital, hindi na po ako tatapak sa hospital dahil nung ako po’y nagtest ng positive, binilang ko po mga pitong hospital ang aking pinuntahan all within a period of two weeks,” Roque said.
(I will try not to go to a hospital if not needed because when I tested positive, I went to seven hospitals in a period of two weeks.)
Before he tested positive for COVID-19, Roque went around some hospitals across the country when the government launched its vaccination program.
