CITY OF CALAPAN –– More than 70 percent of the target 2,032 healthcare workers were vaccinated against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) from 23 posts in Oriental Mindoro province, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) said in a report Tuesday, March 23.
Dr. Hubbert Christopher Dolor, provincial administrator and officer-in-charge of the PHO, said 1,840 frontline health workers were vaccinated on Monday, March 22.
Other frontline workers belonging to Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams and other frontline workers, who will be identified by the Municipal Health Offices in the province, will also be vaccinated Tuesday.
On March 13, a total of 340 vials of British-Swede AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Oriental Mindoro.
The China-made Sinovac vaccines were received on March 5. The 190 vials of vaccines were distributed to the mainland province, 20 vials to Lubang, and 10 vials to Looc municipalities on Lubang Island.
