‘No greater profession than serving others,’ says Army on 124th anniversary
MANILA, Philippines — On the occasion of its 124th anniversary, the Philippine Army reminded soldiers to render unselfish service to fellow countrymen with “passion and dedication.”
In a statement, PA said their celebration of its 124th anniversary revolves around the hashtag #ParaSaBayan, which carries the theme “124 years of Excellence and Commitment in Serving the People and Securing the Land,” to remind soldiers to work tirelessly for the country.
“In this year’s commemoration of the Philippine Army’s founding anniversary, the organization wishes to remind every soldier that there is no greater profession than serving others with passion and dedication,” the PA said in a statement on Monday.
The Army said its theme denotes “a sense of purpose for our soldiers to work and labor unselfishly as an expression of their love for the country and its people.”
In celebrating the anniversary, the Army also invited the public to join their short film competition dubbed the “Alamat ng Army,” which aimed to show the “evolution of Fort Bonifacio and relive memories of those who used to work, live, and pass the old through a series of digital content.”
