MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has established 20 quarantine control points (QCPs) in the Greater Metro Manila area as the capital region and its adjacent provinces undergo general community quarantine (GCQ) beginning Monday.

The national government has placed Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal under a GCQ bubble from March 22 until April 4 due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

Under IATF Resolution No. 104, only essential travel is allowed to and from Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal during the enforcement of the GCQ.
