Occidental Mindoro Provincial Hospital reopens after localized lockdown
CITY OF CALAPAN –– The Occidental Mindoro Provincial Hospital (OMPH) in Mamburao town reopened on Monday after being on lockdown since March 11 due to a surge in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases.
In a Facebook post, the hospital management announced that the emergency room reopened for medical, surgical, and obstetrical emergencies with the slogan “Balik Serbisyo para sa Mamamayang Mindoreno.”
“We remain to be COVID-19-accepting hospital for moderate to severe suspected and confirmed cases,” said the OMPH management.
While Occidental Mindoro is still under modified enhanced community quarantine, outpatient and dental services are still unavailable.
The public, however, can avail of the OMPH teleconsultation at hotline 0956-420-2343.
At 11:11 p.m. on Sunday, the provincial government reported 14 recoveries (11 local cases from Mamburao and three imported cases from Sablayan and Lubang towns).
There were also seven new cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the province to 354 since March last year.
The province has 57 active cases, 284 recoveries, and 13 deaths.
