No more indoor dining in areas under GCQ — IATF

MANILA, Philippines — Restaurants and other food establishments in Metro Manila and several provinces placed under the general community quarantine (GCQ) will be limited to take-out, deliveries and outdoor dining only, according to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

“Pagdating po sa mga restaurants, ang papayagan lang po yung mga outdoor dining, kinakailangan po talaga nasa labas,” Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press briefing  Sunday.

(When it comes to restaurants, we will only allow outdoor dining. It needs to be outside.)

“Hindi po enclosed, nasa labas. Hindi po muna natin papayagan sa darating na dalawang linggo ang indoor dining. Ang take-out at delivery yan po ay encouraged,” he added.

(It should not be in enclosed areas; it should be outside. And we will not allow indoor dining in the next two weeks. Takeout and deliveries are encouraged.)

In a resolution approved by President Rodrigo Duterte, the IATF placed Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal under the GCQ from Mar. 22 until April 4 as the number of COVID-19 cases in the country continue to rise.
