Local gov’ts told: Use StaySafe for contact tracing

/ 05:46 AM March 20, 2021

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has directed local governments to stop developing their own contact-tracing systems and instead use StaySafe.PH, the government’s official contact-tracing app.

Usec. Jonathan Malaya, spokesperson for the DILG, said the government was now finalizing the terms of the formal turnover of the StaySafe app from its developer to the DILG as end user and head of the task group on contact tracing of the National Task Force Against COVID-19. —Dexter Cabalza
