DepEd central office temporarily closed for disinfection
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education’s (DepEd) central office in Pasig City will be temporarily closed for a complex-wide disinfection and contact tracing activity amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an advisory, DepEd said its central office’s temporary closure will end on March 24, Wednesday.
“Although all CO personnel will be on a work-from-home arrangement during the said week, the public can be assured that operations of the Department will be functional without any interruption. Public services shall continue through virtual and alternative means,” DepEd said in its advisory.
“We enjoin our personnel to refrain from leaving their homes in this period for their safety,” it added.
The education department also reminded the public to strictly practice required health measures and protocols at all times.
“We must not let our guard down against the virus,” DepEd said.
