4 Indonesian nationals rescued in Tawi-Tawi
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Zamboanga del Sur –– Four Indonesian nationals were rescued Thursday in the waters off Pasigan Island, South Ubian, Tawi-Tawi.
Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan Jr., chief of the Western Mindanao Command, identified three of the four captives as Riswanto Bin Hayono, Arizal Kastamiran, and Arsyad Bin Dahalan.
The Indonesian nationals were employees of a Malaysian fishing firm and abducted on Jan. 17, 2020 in the waters off Tambisan, Malaysia.
Vinluan said they are on their way to Tawi-Tawi to secure the rescued Indonesians.
“The Indonesians were rescued ashore by combined elements of military and police in Tawi-Tawi. They are now under the custody of Tandubas PNP for initial investigation,” Vinluan said.
