TACLOBAN CITY –– Cooperate instead of finding faults.
This was the message of Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go amid the rising number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country.
“While everybody is free to criticize, it is better to help the government. Criticisms won’t help,” said Go, who visited this city for a series of engagements on Thursday.
He urged Filipinos to follow all the health protocols imposed by the government to contain the spread of the virus.
Go, who chairs the Senate committee on health, also encouraged the public to join the government’s vaccination campaign.
According to him, getting the vaccine is the only solution for the country to end its problem on COVID-19.
“Don’t be afraid of vaccination. You better fear COVID-19,” Go said.
He assured the Filipinos that by May or June, the government would start inoculating the general public, particularly the senior citizens and the indigents.
The senator visited the “Malasakit Center” at the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center, where he distributed face masks and face shields to the hospital’s staff and patients.
He also extended financial assistance to at least 283 patients and 1,944 hospital personnel amounting to P3,000 each.
