MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is yet to enter the dry season even though warmer temperatures are to be expected in the coming days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday.
Pagasa senior weather specialist Benison Estareja said that while the easterlies, which bring warmer temperatures in the country, continue to prevail, the northeast monsoon may still return next week, which will bring colder weather.
“Sa mga nagtatanong kung magsisimula na ‘yung tag-init o dry season natin ay mababa pa ‘yung tsansa because posible pa ngang bumalik itong amihan,” he said in the weather bureau’s daily weather update.
(For those who are asking if the dry season will start, the answer is there is still a low chance because the northeast monsoon may still return.)
For Wednesday, easterlies continue to affect most parts of the country, which will bring warm and humid weather, Estareja said.
However, rains may still be experienced in parts of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

Tuguegarao: 23 to 32 degrees Celsius
Baguio City: 16 to 24 degrees Celsius
Metro Manila: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
Tagaytay City: 22 to 31 degrees Celsius
Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Puerto Princesa City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
Legazpi City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Cebu: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
Cagayan De Oro City: 23 to 32 degrees Celsius
Zamboanga City: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
Davao City: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
No gale warning is raised over the country, Estareja said.
