Oil companies raise pump prices
MANILA, Philippines — Pump prices jumped again after last week’s respite from a four-week price rally, this time with a liter of diesel rising 90 centavos and of gasoline by P1.25.
Caltex moved first at midnight on Monday while Shell, Seaoil, Total and PTT followed at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Cleanfuel cut prices at 4:01 p.m. Shell, Caltex and Seaoil raised prices of kerosene by 85 centavos per liter.
Brent crude, the international benchmark, was pegged at $69.82 as of press time from $68.24 on March 8.
Dubai crude, the Asian bellwether, was $66.65 per barrel as of March 11, jumping from $62.55 per barrel a week earlier.
