Pasig City mayor under quarantine as driver succumbs to COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Monday said he is currently under quarantine after his driver succumbed to COVID-19 last week.
Sotto said he is waiting for his RT-PCR test results, which is expected to be released within the day.
“Hindi muna ako makakapasok sa trabaho at kina-cancel ko muna ang appointment at meetings. Kung maari ay via Zoom na lang muna or via Viber, text at phone call,” Sotto said in a social media post.
(I cannot report for work temporarily, I have cancelled meetings and appointments. I will communicate via Zoom, Viber, tect phone calls.)
Sotto said he is not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
