MANILA, Philippines – It has come to our attention that an altered social media post circulating online on a travel ban to and from Metro Manila by next week has been using the content or material of INQUIRER.net.

The post read that the government has announced that land, air and sea travel will be suspended starting March 15, 2021 until April 14, 2021.

However, INQUIRER.net clarifies this post as fake, as this has been a rehash of a social media post posted March 12, 2020, wherein the government announced the suspension of land, air, and sea travel to and from Metro Manila from March 15, 2020 to April 14, 2020.

This was the time when President Rodrigo Duterte announced that Metro Manila was placed under community quarantine due to the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines.
