OSG closes premises from March 12-16 as six staff contract COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines The Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) would again shut its premises to prevent the further spread of the new coronavirus disease.

From March 12 to 16, the OSG will be closed to the public as six of its employees have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, which causes respiratory illness COVID-19.

Atty. Hector Calilung said in a statement to reporters that the closure of OSG’s premises would also allow “a more in-depth contact tracing.”

“Only personnel from the sanitation and disinfection team will be allowed on the premises. All other employees will continue to perform their work/functions under alternative work arrangements,” read the statement.

During the said period, no documents will be personally received by the office. Instead, parties who wish to send documents to OSG should send them to efile@osg.gov.ph during the lockdown while all other documents may be emailed to docket@osg.gov.ph.
