Olongapo logs 6 new COVID-19 cases

OLONGAPO CITY –– Six new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in this city on Wednesday, raising its total number of patients to 1,076 since last year.

In a statement, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said some of the new infections were traced to Barangay East Bajac-Bajac.

They include a 23-year-old healthcare worker and two siblings aged 20 and 25.

Two of the other cases were two men, aged 24 and 25, from Barangay West Tapinac, who work in a private company inside the Subic Bay Freeport.

The other case is a 40-year-old man in Barangay Sta. Rita, who works in a Pasay City hotel.

As of March 10, the city has 10 active COVID-19 cases, 1,017 recoveries, and 49 deaths.
