3 South Africa variant cases in Parañaque

Three residents of Parañaque City were found to have contracted the more infectious South Africa variant (B.1.351) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. The three cases were in Baclaran, Sun Valley and Don Bosco—three barangays, that recently recorded a spike in the number of new cases. Baclaran has closed its borders with Pasay City, where the first three cases of the South Africa variant were detected.
