PH’s Covid-19 count exceeds 600,000
MANILA, Philippines — The country’s Covid-19 caseload reached over 600,000 after the Department of Health (DOH) logged 2,668 additional infections on Tuesday.
Of the total of 600,428, Health officials said 41,822 are considered active, based on the DOH’s daily case bulletin.
Most or 91.6% of active cases are mild, 3.9% are asymptomatic, 1.8% are in critical condition while 1.9% are experiencing severe symptoms.
The DOH also reported 171 new recoveries and seven deaths, bringing the total to 546,078 and 12,528 respectively.
Three duplicates were removed from the total case count, which are all recoveries. Meanwhile, two cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths, DOH said.
