Free MRT-3, LRT-2 rides for women on March 8 to mark Nat’l Women’s Month

MRT-3 to give free rides to Filipino seafarers on June 25

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit-2 (LRT-2) will give female commuters free scheduled rides on Monday, March 8, as the nation commemorates National Women’s Month.

The MRT-3 management said in its Facebook post on Sunday that the free rides will be offered from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In a separate post, the LRT-2 management said female commuters will be given free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.
