DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur, Philippines — A suspected drug pusher whom authorities said had just served a sentence for a drug-related offense was killed after an alleged shootout with an undercover anti-narcotics agent in a buy-bust operation conducted here at around midnight on Thursday, March 4.
Lieutenant Colonel Vici Anthony Tababa, Digos City police chief, identified the suspect as Dionielito Dumagsa Tesoro, 35, of Barangay Aplaya.
Seized from Tesoro’s possession was 85.7 grams of crystal meth, a .45-caliber pistol, and a motorcycle.
Tesoro’s live-in partner, who is still a minor, was also arrested during the operation which was jointly done by the local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Police investigators found five empty .45-caliber ammunition shells and three empty 9-mm ammunition shells.
