‘Dead’ Abu bandit surrenders

An Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) bandit, whose wife said was already dead, surrendered to the military on Wednesday following the arrest some two weeks ago of his “widow” on suspicion of being a suicide bomber.

Joint task force Sulu and 11th Infantry Division commander Maj. Gen. William Gonzales said late Wednesday that Jaber Binuri—along with six other Abu Sayyaf bandits and supporters—yielded after learning of his wife Nudsza Ismanu Aslun’s Feb. 19 arrest.

Gonzales identified the other surrenderers as: Jupihar Alih, 25; Hassan Albain, 25; William Janatol, 38; Rajik Alih, 34; Kaisal Maddan, 22; and Ibin Hapas, 57.
