Front-liners, computer shop workers among latest COVID-19 cases in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– A nurse, two police officers, and two computer shop employees have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in this province on Wednesday, officials said.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the 36-year-old nurse is working in a hospital in Olongapo City. The patient started experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 on Feb. 27.

Bueno said the two cops, aged 45 and 42, were assigned to the Botolan police station. They attended a training in New Clark City on Feb. 28.

The computer shop workers, aged 38 and 25, were exposed to the virus-infected shop owner.

As of March 3, Zambales has recorded 957 COVID-19 cases since 2020. Eighteen of these are active, 916 are recoveries, and 22 are deaths.
