Security guard nabbed in Calapan buy-bust
CITY OF CALAPAN –– A security guard was arrested in a buy-bust operation by authorities Tuesday along the Nautical Highway in this city.
Franz Manongsong, 35, a resident of Barangay Tabinay in Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro, was arrested in a buy-bust operation by Calapan police drugs enforcement team with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Mimaropa at 11:10 a.m. in Barangay Bayanan I, a police report said.
A poseur-buyer purchased from him a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth).
Confiscated from Manongsong were eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.83 gram and worth P5,000.
The suspect is under the custody of Calapan police, while a complaint about violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against him.
The suspect is in the region’s top ten priority illegal drug personalities, according to the report.
