Pagasa: Warm, sunny Sunday nationwide

MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country can expect warm weather on Sunday due to the easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, the state weather bureau said.

In its early Sunday morning weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said no weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in the next two to three days.

Pagasa weather specialist Loriedin dela Cruz said that while warm weather can be expected throughout the day, there are still chances of isolated rain showers in the afternoon and evening.

“Posible ang mga panandaliang pagbuhos ng ulan pero very isolated lamang, especially dito sa silangang bahagi ng ating bansa,” she said.

“Apart from that, wala tayong inaasahang malawakang pagulan,” she added.

In Luzon, Pagasa forecasts clear skies with chances of very isolated rains in the afternoon and evening.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from a low of 24 degrees Celsius to a high of 32 degrees Celsius.

Likewise, Pagasa said no low pressure area or any weather disturbance is expected in Visayas and Mindanao in the next two to three days.

The whole country, according to Pagasa, will have light to moderate northeast winds and slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal waters.
