MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said its consular office in Cebu will be temporarily closed until Monday next week to make way for disinfection.
Aside from the disinfection in the premises of the consular office in Cebu, other preventive measures will also be implemented to “manage the risks against Covid-19,” the DFA said in an advisory Friday.
Operations in the Cebu consular office will resume on Monday, March 1.
The DFA advised affected applicants with confirmed appointments who are unable to avail of consular services due to the suspension of operations to secure another appointment by sending an email to cebu.rco@dfa.gov.ph with their name, date of birth, original appointment date and time, and preferred date and time of new appointment.
“The preferred new appointment may be on any working day (Monday to Friday) from 01 to 25 March 2021 during the CO’s regular operation hours (10:00AM to 4:00PM),” the DFA said.
“Applicants that need emergency or urgent consular services may contact CO (consular office) Cebu (cebu.rco@dfa.gov.ph) by email. The DFA requests the public’s understanding and cooperation as we continue to battle against the pandemic,” it added.
