MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Sarangani early Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the earthquake was recorded at 1:45 a.m. on February 26, with the epicenter located 27 kilometers southeast of Glan, Sarangani.
The earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of 18 kilometers.
The earthquake was recorded at Intensity I in Alabel and Kiamba towns in Sarangani as well as in General Santos City.
Phivolcs said no damage and aftershocks are expected.
