BACOLOD CITY –– Members of the Federation of Urban Poor (FedUP) in Negros Occidental gathered at the statue of former senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. at Araneta Street in this city on Thursday, Feb. 25, to mark the 35th anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution.
“We refuse to let EDSA People Power die, so we will insist on celebrating it,” said Joy Jarabelo, FedUP provincial coordinator.
The group prayed and offered flowers at the foot of the Aquino statue, with the members wearing face masks and observing physical distance.
