Pagasa: Fair Thursday weather, isolated rain showers possible

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and the rest of the country will fair weather with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms on Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

“Sunny and warm weather is expected over most parts of the country, with  only a small chance of rains,”Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said in Filipino.

Estareja added that localized thunderstorms and scattered rain showers are possible in the afternoon.

Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides in rain-affected areas.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate nationwide.

Wind speed forecast in Northern and Central Luzon is light to moderate moving east -southeast.

The rest of the country will likewise have light to moderate wind speed moving east – northeast.

Meantime, no new weather disturbance is expected until the end of February, the weather bureau said.
