Suspected gunrunner nabbed in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY –– A suspected gunrunner was arrested in Naga City in Camarines Sur province on Sunday night, the police said on Monday, Feb. 22.

Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Randy Nopre, 45, was arrested in Barangay Del Rosario around 10 p.m.

The police recovered a 12-gauge shotgun and two bullets from his house.

Bongon said Nopre was a member of the “Camacho Group,” which is involved in gunrunning in Camarines Sur.

He added that the group had been selling firearms to private individuals.
