FARMER NABBED FOR MARIJUANA

A FARMER was arrested by police who found him carrying a sack of marijuana in barangay Suoton, Badian town, southern Cebu.

Badian policemen went to the house of Mario Sereño after his wife complained that she was mauled by the farmer.

Police spotted the man about to leave the house carrying a sack.

The farmer tried to escape but police cornered him, said PO2 William Beltran of the Badian.

Police checked the sack and found marijuana plants inside.

VIDEOKE OWNER STABBED, HURT

A 58-YEAR-OLD videoke bar owner was stabbed and wounded by a customer after an argument in barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City.

Andres Escultor was stabbed with a knife in the back.

The suspect, Romel Garbo, remains at large, said police.

Police said Garbo was with his wife and friends having a drinking session in Escultor’s videoke bar last Friday night.

Police said that while the customers were singing, Escultor tried to fix the videoke’s  sound system.

While Escultor was fixing the machine, the music stopped. This irked Garbo, who confronted Escultor.

Police said Garbo stabbed Escultor in the middle of their argument.

2 FALL IN DRUG BUSTS

TWO men were arrested in separate drug buy-bust operations in Cebu City and Barili town, southern Cebu, last Friday.

Ramil Cortes Judilla, 46, was arrested after he allegedly sold two medium packs of suspected shabu to operatives of the Regional Anti-Anti Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group in a pension house in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

The seized  packs had a street value of P50,000, said Senior Insp. Henrix Bancoleta, team leader.

In Barili town, agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) arrested Jumabon Fuentes, 30.

Fuentes  allegedly sold two packs of shabu to a poseur buyer in barangay Poblacion.

The PDEA-7 said 15 more packs of suspected shabu were recovered from Funetes after the arrest.
