THE UNIVERSITY of the Visayas Baby Lancers showcased the stuff that made them champions in the SBP Under-16 National Championships as they trounced the University of San Jose-Recoletos, 67-47, in the 16-under AA division in the 2012 ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup yesterday at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
The win was the lone bright spot for the Baby Lancers yesterday as their other squad narrowly lost to the Cebu Eastern College Dragons, 35-37, in the 13-under AB class.
In other results in the 13-under division, SHS-AdC defeated Don Bosco, 36-27, in the AA class. In the B division of the same age group, USJ-R routed Don Bosco-B, 32-7.
In the 16-under AB division, the University of San Carlos-South edged SHS-AdC, 31-28.
The BA class saw Don Bosco outclas the MCEC, 61-36 while USC-South defeated the Center for International Education, 47-30.
In the BB category, USJ-R got past the CVIRAA Selection, 52-46 even as the Medellin squad dumped the Nissi Academy, 78-36.
The 10-under division saw USJ-R down the USC-north, 14-10 while USC-South trounced SHS-AdC, 25-9. Don Bosco also won by the skin of their teeth over CEC, 23-22. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
