The Abellana National School (ANS) Pomeroy nailed its second straight win with a 9-1 demolition of the Cebu International School (CIS) in the Men’s Under 19 of yesterday’s 14th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Subangdaku Mandaue.
Kerth Ryan Aranguez, Rogelio Castellon Jr., Pedro Agustin Diao and Jake Ricafuente all found the back of the net twice for ANS. John Michael Gomora completed ANS’ rout of CIS.
ANS now has a total of six points after having won two of its three matches so far. Its boys 14 team also got lucky with a 2-0 win over Child Learning Foundation (CLF).
The rest of the matches in the category saw Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) A annihilating Saint Augustine International School (SAIS) FC, 16-0, Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) edging DBTC B, 2-1, and Blessed John thrashing CIS, 3-1.
The two matches in the boys 12 were won by Canduman Dedon and Colegio de la Inmaculada – Mandaue (CIC-M). Canduman blanked DBTC 2, while CIC-M also blanked Center for International Education, 2-0.
