Female village councilor slain inside her home in Bohol town
TAGBILARAN CITY—A female village councilor of Balilihan town, Bohol province was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen inside her home early on Tuesday (Feb. 16).
Councilor Lucresia Mancha-Tasic, of Barangay Hanopol Norte, was about to take a bath when two unidentified men arrived at her house past 8 a.m.
According to Tasic’s 16-year-old son, his mother asked him to buy shampoo at a nearby store while she entertained the visitors.
Before he left to buy shampoo, the boy heard that the men introduced themselves as employees of the provincial capitol.
One of the men wore a bonnet and jacket.
When asked what the purpose of their visit was, the men answered that they would conduct “operation tuli”, or operation circumcision, at the village.
