MANILA, Philippines — The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) is looking to complete 35 construction, rehabilitation, and development projects this year, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mark T. Lapid said on Tuesday.
Lapid said the projects “would be of great help to improve the country’s tourism infrastructure.”
The TIEZA officer said among the projects eyed for completion in 2021 include the Phase 2 of the Boracay Water Drainage, which is 57.95 percent completed as of end-December 2020.
Further, Lapid said TIEZA is also working to complete the construction of the Sewerage and Waste Water Facility and Boardwalk in Oriental Mindoro.
Also included in the list of projects to be completed this year are the rehabilitation of Club Intramuros in Manila, as well as the Phase 1 of the Assets Rehabilitation Plan along Victoria Street in Intramuros, said Lapid.
