Duterte now willing to get vaccinated in public
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has changed his mind and is now willing to get the COVID-19 vaccine in public to convince people to do the same, Malacañang said on Monday.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Mr. Duterte had cited public clamor in deciding to get the shot publicly.
“I think the President has said that he will now have himself vaccinated publicly. He only has to announce when it will be done and that is, of course, a recognition of the fact that the people are waiting for a sign if they will get vaccinated or not,” Roque told a press briefing.
