Eastern Samar cops give roses, balloons on Valentine’s Day

BORONGAN CITY – Police officers in Eastern Samar on Sunday handed out red roses and balloons as well as serenaded commuters and frontliners in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
According to Sergeant Marjorie Balmes, they want to “promote peace and to give joy to local Boronganons amid this global pandemic.”

Tricycle passenger Charity Mabag said she was overwhelmed by the gesture of friendship of the local police.
The provincial police hoped to continue the activity annually.
