PH logs nearly 2K new Covid-19 infections; active cases now at 25,918
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) reported Sunday nearly 2,000 new Covid-19 infections in the country, bringing the total number of active cases to 25,918.
In its February 14 bulletin, the DOH said there are 1,928 new Covid-19 cases in the country, 10,967 new recoveries, and eight new deaths.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Philippines to 549,176—of which 25,918 are active. Meanwhile, recoveries stand at 511,743 while the death toll has reached 11,515.
Of the active cases, 86 percent are mild, 7.2 percent are asymptomatic, 3 percent are critical, 2.9 percent are severe, and 0.91 percent are moderate cases.
