Zambales pharmacy closed after Covid-19 hits 10 employees

SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES – A pharmacy in Sta. Cruz, Zambales was closed after the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infected 10 of its 16 employees.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the acting manager, the assistant manager and his assistant, the store pharmacist, 4 cashiers, a clerk and a security guard were exposed to a co-worker who contracted the virus on February 8.

The pharmacy will resume operations after all the infected workers have fully recovered, he said.

Zambales has so far recorded 920 Covid-19 cases (41 active cases, 858 recoveries and 20 deaths)
