Taguig eyes putting up 24/7 vaccination centers
MANILA, Philippines — Taguig government on Thursday said it is looking into opening three vaccination hubs that would open 24 hours daily as they prepare for mass inoculation against Covid-19.
In a statement, the city government said the three hubs would be located in Barangay Fort Bonifacio, another near Vista Mall in Barangay Calzada-Tipas, and in Lakeshore Vaccine Training and Information Center.
“Our target here is not only speed but safety, efficiency and accessibility. Our 24-hour hubs and our community vaccine centers will help us hit our objectives, This will open the opportunity for more citizens to get vaccinated and not have them worry about time,” said Mayor Lino Cayetano in the same statement.
The city has 200 vaccination teams, which are tasked to inoculate 630,000 residents in 60 to 90 days.
To date, Taguig designated 40 vaccination centers for mass immunization.
